Balaji/Sharan in doubles in Helsinki Open

CHANDIGARH: Indian duo of N. Sriram Balaji and Divij Sharan easily disposed of the challenge of wild cards Viktor Durasovic of Norway and Patrik Niklas-Salminen of Finland 6-2 6-4 in the doubles first round of the € 44, 820 HPP Open, Helsinki (Finland) .
In the doubles quarter-final Indian pair N Sriram Balaji and Divij Sharan will face Denis Istomin of Uzbekistan and Courtney John Lock of Zimbabwe.

Austrian pair of Alexander Erler and Lucas Miedler upset fourth seeded Sergio Martos Gornes of Spain and Ramkumar Ramanathan of India 7-5 6-3 in another doubles first round match.
Ramkumar Ramanathan got the better wild card Otto Virtanen of Finland by 4-6 6-4 6-3 in the singles first round outing. Ramkumar next meets eighth Nikola Milojevic of Serbia.
ARJUN LOSES; Aleksandar Kovacevic of USA and Aleksandar Vukic of Australia defeated Arjun Kadhe of India and Tung-Lin Wu of Taipei 7-5, 7-5 in the doubles first round of the $ 52, 080 Champaign Challenger in United States today.
Earlier qualifier Arjun Kadhe of India lost to Peda Krstin of Serbia 7-5-7-5 in the first round of the main draw.
