CHANDIGARH: Punjab Sports and Youth Services Minister Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi, on Tuesday, condoled passing away of Indian cricketer Yashpal Sharma, whose sporting legacy was deeply rooted in Punjab. Sharma (66), a vanguard part of India's 1983 World Cup winner team and admired for being a gutsy middle-order batsman at the peak of his prowess, died on Tuesday after suffering a cardiac arrest at New Delhi. He was survived by his wife, two daughters and a son.
