CHANDIGARH: Punjab Sports Minister Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi, on Sunday, condoled the sad demise of Nirmala Milkha Singh, wife of seasoned athlete Flying Sikh Milkha Singh.
Nirmala Milkha Singh, who was also former Volleyball player, was admitted in Fortis Hospital Mohali after tested positive for Corona, where she was died today. Milkha Singh was also tested positive and he is under treatment in PGI Chandigarh.
In a condolence message, the Sports Minister said, "I am deeply saddened to learn about the death of Nirmala Milkha Singh, which is extremely shocking and unfortunate."
Sharing his heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family, relatives and friends, Rana Sodhi prayed to the Almighty to give courage to them to bear this irreparable loss in this hour of grief and grant eternal peace to the departed soul. He also wished speedy recovery of Milkha Singh.
