CHANDIGARH: As part of the 400th Prakash Purb celebrations of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib, Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh on Saturday dedicated several development projects to the people, including conservation and development of Old Jail at Bassi Pathana where the 9th Guru, along with his supporters, was imprisoned by Noor Mohammad Khan Mirza for 40 days while he was reportedly on his way to meet Emperor Aurangzeb.

CHANDIGARH:The educational competitions dedicated to the 400th Parkash Purb of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji have commence today after prayers (Ardas) in Gurudwaras.
Disclosing this here today a spokesperson of the Punjab school education department said that education officers of different districts, representatives of various committees, principals and teachers attended the prayer at Gurudwaras. The competitions will continue for about five and a half months from 6th July to 21st December 2020. These include shabd gyan, song, poetry, speech, playing musical instruments (harmonium, tabla, dholak, fiddle, dhadd), poster making, painting, slogan writing, calligraphy, P.P.T. making and dastarbandi.
