CHANDIGARH: The Punjab school education department is  organising online educational competitions dedicated to the 400th Parkash Purb of Guru Tegh Bahadur. In the part of this series of events second round competitions will start from July 20th  2020.

CHANDIGARH:The educational competitions dedicated to the 400th Parkash Purb of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji have commence today after prayers (Ardas) in Gurudwaras.
Disclosing this here today a spokesperson of the Punjab school education department said that education officers of different districts, representatives of various committees, principals and teachers attended the prayer at Gurudwaras. The competitions will continue for about five and a half months from 6th July to 21st December 2020. These include shabd gyan, song, poetry, speech, playing musical instruments (harmonium, tabla, dholak, fiddle, dhadd), poster making, painting, slogan writing, calligraphy, P.P.T. making and dastarbandi.

CHANDIGARH: In a new formula to break the impasse on joint celebrations of the 550th Prakash Purb of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji in Sultanpur Lodhi, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Saturday proposed that the SGPC should join the state government’s November 12 event, to be attended by the President of India, while the main function on November 11, at which the Union Home Minister is expected, could be held under the purview of the religious body.

The celebrations would see ‘Nanak Naam Leva Sangat’ from all corners of the globe. The Punjab Government solicits wholehearted cooperation from the Union Government with regard to these celebrations. The Tourism and Cultural Affairs Minister, Punjab, Mr. Charanjit Singh Channi emphatically took up this issue with the Union Tourism Minister Mr. Prahlad Patel during an informal meeting with the latter in New Delhi today. Mr. Channi also demanded that the Union Government must immediately release Rs. 100 crore for the celebrations.

NEW DELHI:  Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan has sought a detailed proposal from Punjab for dedicating the second AIIMS in the state to the historic 550th Birth Anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, in response to a request for the same from Chief Minister Captain Amarinder.

CHANDIGARH: “The Punjab Government would extend invitation to the 550 NRI Punjabis on the occasion of the 550th Parkash Purb celebrations of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji to be held during November, 2019.” This was disclosed here today by Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi on assuming charge as the NRI Affairs Minister, Punjab. On the occasion, Rana Sodhi who is also the Sports and Youth Affairs Minister held first meeting with the senior officers of the department.
