CHANDIGARH: In a significant recognition to Punjab's exemplary work in animal husbandry, the Government of India has lauded the state's Animal Husbandry department for its innovative use of social media platforms like YouTube and Facebook to disseminate crucial information and promote extension activities among livestock farmers. The Centre has also appreciated the department's doorstep artificial insemination services and exhorted other northern states to adopt this successful model.

CHANDIGARH: Punjab Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries Minister S. Gurmeet Singh Khudian, on Tuesday, handed over appointment letters to five Veterinary Inspectors, two stenographer-cum-typist and one Enumerator here at his office, taking the total number of recruitments in the department to 942 since March 2022.

CHANDIGARH: Punjab Punjab Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries Minister S. Gurmeet Singh Khudian, on Wednesday, directed the department officials to complete the ongoing 21st livestock census by the end of February 2025.

CHANDIGARH: To enhance the efficiency of its officials, Punjab Animal Husbandry Department organised a one-day stress management training program at MGSIPA.

CHANDIGARH/SAS NAGAR:Punjab Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries Minister Mr. Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal has issued directions to the officers of the department to attract the youth of the state towards the allied livestock farming sector. He asked the officers to frame a policy at the earliest to engage the youth with livestock farming so that more and more youngsters could start their own business. Expressing deep concern during the first meeting with the officials at the headquarters of the Animal Husbandry Department here today, he said that due to high cost of fodder, feed and medicines, the livestock farming is no more profitable.

CHANDIGARH/S.A.S NAGAR: Punjab Government has recruited 250 Veterinary Inspectors in the Animal Husbandry Department of the state under the door-to-door employment program.

Directors of allthree departments including Dr. H.S Kahlon, Director, Animal Husbandry Department accompanied Mr. Janjua during the surprise checking.

MOHALI: Dr Sanjeev Khosla , here today at Livestock Complex in sector 68, took over the charge of Director, animal husbandry Punjab. The orders of regular appointment were issued on 19th April by the Additional Chief Secretary Sh V K Janjua, following approval of Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh and Sh Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa Animal Husbandry Minister.

CHANDIGARH / SAS NAGAR:The Punjab Government has recruited 117 Veterinary Officers in the Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries Department of the state under the door-to-door employment program. Mr. Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries Minister handed over appointment letters to the newly appointed Veterinary Officers at Live Stock Bhawan here today.

CHANDIGARH:The Punjab Government has appointed Dr. Gurpal Singh Walia as Director of the Punjab Animal Husbandry Department. He assumed charge today at Livestock Bhawan.
