KAITHAL: The protest of Patwaris continued on Monday in the bitter cold demanding removal of pay grade discrepancy. On the other hand, due to failure of talks with the government in Chandigarh, the strike of Patwaris will continue till 31st. If the government does not show any positive attitude soon, then the Girdawari work to start from February 1 will be affected. Due to the neglect of Patwaris by the government, the troubles of the common people are increasing. Patwaris have warned that the struggle will continue until the government accepts their demands. Rajesh Advocate presided over the protest.

All the Patwaris protested by raising slogans throughout the day. Rajesh Advocate said that the government is against the employees and the common people. Instead of removing the pay discrepancy, the government is forcing the public to suffer. The government had called for talks in Chandigarh today but no consensus could be reached. The strike will continue till January 31 on the call of the State Association. General Secretary Sukhwinder Singh said that the government should leave its stubbornness and immediately fulfill the demands of the Patwaris. On this occasion, Dalbir Singh, Hemant Sharma, Praveen Kumar, Ramesh Kumar, Sukhbir Rana, Patwari Sunil Kumar, Devi Dayal, Somdutt Sharma, Virendra, Ishwar Singh, Balwinder Singh, Ramniwas etc. were present.

Work stopped in tehsils, locks will remain hanging

Due to the strike of Patwari and Kanungo since last January 3, the work of all the tehsils has come to a standstill. All sections of the society are troubled due to registration, death certificate, Girdawari and certificate not being made. Kaithal resident Aman Kumar said that he has to sell the land.
