PACS employee committed suicide under the pressure of repaying the loan installment

KAITHAL: Facing pressure of repaying the loan amount in lump sum, the clerk of The Khadalwa Mataur Primary Agriculture cooperative Society (PACS) committed suicide by consuming poisonous substance at Khanori bypass of Kaithal.

The incident happened late Thursday evening. On the complaint of the deceased's wife, the city police station has registered a case against the head manager of the cooperative society and two other people for forcing deceased to commit suicide. Chaushala resident Sheela Devi, wife of the deceased, told in her complaint to the police that her husband Rajbir was working as a clerk in the Khadalwa Mataur Agriculture coop.society.

Her husband had taken a loan from The Khadalwa Mataur Pacs. PACS manager Ramkumar and Pradhan Nirmal, PACS employees Rakesh and Bishan Singh were pressurizing her husband to repay the entire loan immediately. They used to threaten her husband with firing him from his job if he did not repay the loan. Due to which her husband was very worried. Her husband had also repaid the loan of Rs 5 lakh to manager Ramkumar on January 22. The manager did not give any receipt to her husband and said that he would not get the receipt until the loan was fully repaid. They started pressurizing her husband Rajbir to repay the loan. Due to which her husband started becoming mentally disturbed. On Thursday, her husband had gone for his duty in the morning like every day. She got information in the afternoon that her husband has committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance on Khanori bypass in Kaithal.

A suicide note was also found in her husband's pocket. In which he has stated the reason for his death and blamed these persons. Assistant Sub Inspector Sandeep of Anaj Mandi outpost said that he had gone to the spot after receiving the information and the police have registered a case of forcing for suicide on the statement of the deceased's wife.
