Guhla Tehsildar accused of bribery sent to jail, demanded Rs.10,000 for registry

KAITHAL: Former Tehsildar Manjit Malik of Guhla was produced by Anti Corruption Bureau Ambala in the court of JMIC Tushar Sharma on Saturday for  allegedly demanding bribe in the name of the registry. 

The court has sent the accused Tehsildar to judicial custody for 14 days. Initial investigation of ACB has revealed that the accused Tehsildar was roaming out to  other states outside Haryana for the last five months fearing arrest. As soon as he realised he was beige chased by ACB, he came back to Kaithal, and was arrested by  ACB. There were rumours  that he had fled abroad, but it was not so. He went out of the state and wandered in different states. It is being told that he lived in the hilly areas in this five months time. However, the ACB refrained from mentioning the names of these states citing internal investigation. The entire case is being investigated under the leadership  Mukesh Jakhar. of ACB Ambala
