CHANDIGARH: Shiromani Akali Dal (Sanyukt) President and Rajya Sabha Member Sh. Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa said that only the Union Government led by Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi can resolve the long pending issues of Panth and Punjab and the main objective of Shiromani Akali Dal (Sanyukt) is to address all such pivotal issues of Panth and Punjab, while keeping aside our interests, said Sh. Dhindsa.
He said that Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi has a special attachment towards Punjab and Sikhs and he has great respect for the Sikh community. Sh. Dhindsa said that after independence many governments ruled at the Center and but none of them thought for Punjab's welfare as they always worked for their political vested interests but with the recent efforts made by Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi for the welfare of the Sikh Panth, certainly highlights that he is keen to resolve the issues of the Punjab and the Panth in the true sense.
The Shiromani Akali Dal (Sanyukt) has entered into an election pact with the BJP in Punjab so as to improve the financial condition of the economically backward Punjab with the help of the Central Government and further taking it on the path of deveolpment and prosperity.
Sh. Dhindsa said that the present economic condition of Punjab is in a very dire state and without the support of the Center the state's economy can not improve. He said that in the elections Congress, Aam Aadmi Party and Badal Dal are busy making many bogus promises to lure the people of the state but considering the poor financial condition of the state all these promises would automatically prove to be false.
Referring to his recent meeting with Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi, Sh. Dhindsa said that he had a detailed discussion with the Prime Minister regarding the rights of Panth and Punjab in a positive atmosphere and the Prime Minister assured him of resolving these issues.
"We should all always remember that the wounds inflicted by the Congress on the Sikh community and Punjab can never be forgotten and the alliance of Shiromani Akali Dal (Sanyukt) and BJP will leave no stone unturned to heal all such wounds added Sh. Dhindsa.
