NAWANSHAHR:A special meeting of the District Executive Committee on Punjab Skills Development Mission was held under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Sarabjit Singh Walia.
During the meeting, information was given to the District Skills Committee and industrialists regarding the schemes being run by the Punjab Skill Development Mission on behalf of the DPMU staff.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Sarabjit Singh Walia informed that PMKVY 3.0 scheme is to be started by the end of this year in which young boys and girls of the district would be imparted employment oriented courses. Industry was encouraged to contribute in these schemes. Committee members and industrialists also presented their views to make the learners skilled as per the need of the industry.
District Employment Officer Rupinder Kaur, General Manager District Industries Center Amarjit Singh, DPMU Officers and industrillits were also present on the occasion.
