Two villagers booked for assaulting Nakodar city resident

NAKODAR: The Nakodar city police have booked two villagers on the charges of assault, criminal intimidation and committing crime with common intention.
The investigating officer (IO) Mulakh Raj said that the accused have been identified as Balwindar Vejo and Takhi residents of Khurshaid Pur village.

Ranndip Singh a resident of Adda Mehat Pur , Nakodar has complained before the police that the accused waylaid him on January 13 at Khurshiad Pur village liquor vend and attacked with iron roads and injured and threatened him .

IO said a case under sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) 341(wrongful restraint) 427(theft) 506(criminal intimidation) and 34(committing crime with common intention) of the IPC has been registered against the accused. No arrests have been made.
