AMRITSAR: The two-day long national ‘Hack-Spark 2025’ today concluded at Khalsa College of Engineering and Technology (KCET) in which more than 800 students from various Universities and Colleges from North India participated. The deliberations were held during this 24 hour interactions, aimed to empower the youth with technical and ethical knowledge.
While Khalsa University Pro-Chancellor Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina inaugurated the event emphasizing the importance of empowering youth with technical and ethical knowledge, highlighting that hackathons like HackSpark nurture creativity, collaboration, and leadership among students. He urged participants to seize this opportunity for connecting and excelling, stressing that today’s students are shaping the future of technology through teamwork and community spirit.
KCET Director Dr.Manju Bala said KCET was committed to nurturing young minds who can solve real-world problems and make the nation proud. She welcomed all attendees by reiterating that event was organized to fostering innovation where passion meets perseverance. She expressed hope that HackSpark 2025 would enable every participant to explore, experiment, and emerge as a leader with new skills, lasting friendships, and motivation to innovate continuously. She emphasized that with such team work one can uplift the society also.
During the Valedictory Session Dr. Ajay Kumar Sharma, Director, NIT Delhi and Ex-Vice Chancellor, IKG Punjab Technical University, Kapurthala, asked students to sharpen their industrial employability skills, integrate innovation into real-world problem solving, and embrace teamwork as a key to professional success. He also interacted with the participants during a special TED Talk session alongside industry experts, giving valuable insights into career growth and future industrial trends.
The event had several competitive and creative events including Catapult, Solid Modeling, Logic Builder, Ad Mad Show, Code Warrior, Code War, and Logic Gate Circuits, engaging students in teamwork and technical creativity.
The judging panel featured esteemed industry experts Arpan Garg , Founder, Commudle Google, Karan Gupta, Senior Cloud Data Engineer at KPMG, Pranav Kumar, Associate Staff Engineer at Nagarro, Priyanshi Rai, Associate Software Developer at GitHub, Loveleen Kaur, Senior Android Engineer at Probo, Ayush Kumar, Lead Developer Relations Engineer at NodeShift and Sheshank Srivastavam, Engineer at Samsung.
