AMRITSAR: Karseva of the shrine of Shaheed Baba Deep Singh ji located in the parikarma of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib began today according to panthic traditions. This kaar seva has been assigned by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee to Baba Harnam Singh Khalsa, the head of Damdami Taksal.
At the beginning of the seva, Sri Akhand Path Sahib was recited, after which the ragi , Bhai Harjinder Singh Srinagar and Bhai Karnail Singh joined the congregation with Gurbani Kirtan and Bhai Sahib Bhai Pinderpal Singh shared Gurmat thoughts.
Speaking on this occasion, Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib's Head Granthi and Sri Akal Takht Sahib's Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh said that Shaheed Baba Deep Singh ji gave his martyrdom to restore the dignity of Sri Harmandir Sahib, in whose memory this is located. The place is highly respected by the Sikh community.
The initiative of the Shiromani Committee for the maintenance of the memorial by providing services as per the need of this shrine is commendable.
Meanwhile, SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami said that it is the duty of the nation to take care of the memorials of the warriors who were martyred for the nation.
He said that the service of the shrine of Shaheed Baba Deep Singh ji has been handed over to Baba Harnam Singh Khalsa, head of Damdami , who will work for its necessary repairs as well as beautification.
The Shiromani Committee President said that this Gurdwara Shaheed Bunga Sahib will be kept in its original form and service will be conducted as per the need of the time.
On this occasion, Shiromani Committee member and chief speaker Bhai Amarjit Singh Chawla, narrator Baba Banta Singh also shared their thoughts with the Sangat and appealed to the Sangat to be partners in this great work of service. The personalities present on this occasion were also honored by giving Guru Bakshish Siropao.
During the conversation, Baba Harnam Singh Khalsa, head of Damdami Taksal, thanked the Shiromani Committee for providing service to Gurdwara Shaheed Bunga Sahib.
He said that its service will be completed according to the sentiments of the Sangat.
