Sri Akhand Path Sahib inaugurated at Gurdwara Sri Manji Sahib in memory of the attack on Sri Darbar Sahib in 1955

AMRITSAR:Sri Akhand Path Sahib was started by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee at Gurdwara Sri Manji Sahib Diwan Hall within Golden Temple complex to commemorate the attack on Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib on July 4, 1955 by the then government.
A post-orgasm function is being organized on July 4 in this regard.
On the occasion of the start of Sri Akhand Path Sahib, the Secretary of the Shiromani Committee Partap Singh said that on July 4, 1955, on the orders of the government, the central shrine of Sikhs was attacked by the police and a function would be held on July 4 at Gurdwara Sri Manji Sahib in his memory.
He appealed to all the sangats to attend the function.
On this occasion the manager of Sri Darbar Sahib Sulukhan Singh Bhangali, narrator Bhai Harmitar Singh, Superintendent Malkit Singh Bahirwal, Incharge Harbhajan Singh Wakta, Manager Sukhraj Singh, Narinder Singh, Nishan Singh etc. were present.
