GURDASPUR: Deputy Commissioner Gurdaspur Mohammad Ishfaq, after listening to the grievances of the people, organized a special camp at Ward No. 14, Shahzada Nangal, Gurdaspur today as part of his 'Public Relations Campaign'. Speaking on the occasion the Deputy Commissioner said that under the guidelines of the Punjab government the grievances of the people of villages / cities have been heard and the grievances of the people have been resolved by visiting the homes of the people with the objective of resolving them on the spot. .
He said that after listening to the grievances of the people, the officers present on the spot were instructed to resolve the grievances in a timely manner.
Addressing the residents of the area , Deputy Commissioner the residents of the mohalla first mentioned the special drive for the eradication of drug menace and said that drug addiction was a disease which could be cured. The Deputy Commissioner further said that soon in all the 11 blocks of the district for the convenience of the people online problem listening offices would be set up where the people could bring their grievances to the notice of the Deputy Commissioner.
This will save people from coming to offices from far and wide. He further said that special camps would be organized by the SDMs of the five divisions of the district including the Additional Deputy Commissioners for maintaining public relations in the district so that their problems could be solved by reaching out to the maximum number of people.
On this occasion the residents of Prince Nangal appreciated the efforts of the Punjab Government and said that in the presence of the Deputy Commissioner of the district the officials of various departments were themselves reaching out to the people and listening to their grievances.
