AMRITSAR: Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami today inaugurated the renovated premises of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Bhawan at Gurdwara Sri Ramsar Sahib, the office of the Publication Department and the Gurmat Literature House along with a modern machine for printing the holy Bir of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
Its noteworthy that keeping in mind the respect for Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, the SGPC had decided to modernize the hall number four of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Bhawan located at Gurdwara Sri Ramsar Sahib for the publication, maintenance and upkeep of the sacred scriptures, which has been serviced by Baba Kashmir Singh Karseva Bhuriwala.
Giving further information, Advocate Dhami said that today a modern machine has also been started for printing the holy forms of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. With this machine, a 'Service Identification Number' will be printed in the form of a code while printing Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. With this, information regarding the holy forms of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji will be saved, so that complete information about every holy form printed can be kept.
On this occasion, Baba Kashmir Singh Karseva Bhuriwale, Baba Sukhwinder Singh Bhuriwale, Baba Sucha Singh and Baba Satnam Singh Kila Anandgarh Wale, Shiromani Committee Chief Secretary Kulwant Singh Mannan, members Bhai Rajinder Singh Mehta, Surjit Singh Bhittewad, Harjap Singh Sultanwind, Jathedar Bawa Singh Gumanpura, Gurmeet Singh Booh, Secretary Pratap Singh, OSD Satbir Singh Dhami, General Manager of Sri Darbar Sahib Bhagwant Singh Dhangera and other prominent personalities were present.
Similarly, the office of the Publication Department and the Literature House have also been newly renovated. The service of this building was entrusted to Baba Sucha Singh and Baba Satnam Singh Qila Anandgarh Wale.
Talking to reporters after the inauguration, SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami said that Sri Guru Granth Sahib is the core of the faith of the Sikh community, and it is the great responsibility of the Sikh organization to maintain its respect.
He said that only the SGPC publishes the holy bir. of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, from where the holy form is delivered to the Sangat as per the norms.
He said that the main objective of the renovation of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Bhawan is to make the process of publication and preservation of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji more efficient and proper. Modern technologies and facilities have been included in the new structure, which will ensure complete security and respect in the care and maintenance of the holy forms.
Similarly, the new office of the Publication Department and the Literature House will become a means of bringing Sikh literature to the Sangat. From here, the Sangat will be able to obtain the sacred books of Gurbani and Gurmat literature.
On this occasion, Deputy Secretary Harbhajan Singh Waqta, S. Manjit Singh, Ex. Jatinderpal Singh, Manager of Gurdwara Shaheed Ganj Sahib Jatinderpal Singh, Jaswinder Singh Australia, Incharge Sukhdeep Singh, SDO Sukhbir Singh, Manager of Golden Offset Press Sandeep Singh and others were present.
