AMRITSAR: The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee observed the martyrdom day of the fifth Guru, Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji with devotion and respect.
After the Bhog of Sri Akhand Path Sahib at Gurdwara Sri Ramsar Sahib here, the divine Bani was sung by the Jatha of Hazuri Raagi Bhai Gurinderpal Singh and Bhai Davinder Singh. After the Ardas, Kathavachak Giani Jaswant Singh discussed the story of the martyrdom of Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji.
He appealed to the Sangat to take inspiration from the life history of Guru Sahib Ji and encouraged them to connect with the Bani and Bana.
During the Gurmat Samagam organized on this occasion, Additional Head Granthi of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib Giani Amarjit Singh recited Katha and Hazuri Raagi Jathas entertained the Sangat with Gurbani Kirtan.
During the event, Dhadi, Kavishar and Pracharak Singhs made the Sangat listen to the history of Guru and poets presented poems related to Guru Sahib Ji.
On the occasion of the martyrdom day of Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji, the Sangat attended the Gurdhams including Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib, Gurdwara Sri Ramsar Sahib with devotion.
Meanwhile, special cold and sweet water chabeels were also installed at Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib and Gurdwara Sri Ramsar Sahib.
On this occasion, Shiromani Committee member Surjit Singh Bhittewad, S. Mangwinder Singh Khaparkheri, Bhai Manjit Singh, Manager J. P. Singh, Jasbir Singh, preacher Bhai Tarsem Singh and Bhai Gurvinder Singh Khodebet along with the sangat were present.
