SGPC issued stipends of 1 crore 43 lakh rupees to Amritdhari children

AMRITSAR: For the year 2023-24, a stipend amount of 1 crore 43 lakh 94 thousand rupees was given to the Amritdhari students studying in the educational institutions of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee.
Today at the Shiromani Committee office, Shiromani Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami handed over the checks of this stipend amount to the representatives of the educational institutions.
On this occasion, Advocate Dhami said that special efforts are being made by the Shiromani Committee for the promotion of Sikhi, under which a stipend scheme is being run for Amritdhari students. Under this every year the Amritdhari students are given stipends for their fees.
This time an amount of 1 crore 43 lakh 94 thousand rupees has been distributed to 2791 amritdhari students. He said that apart from this, stipends are given specially through religious examination by Dharma Prachar Committee, which are in lakhs of rupees.
He appealed to the Sangat to connect their children with Bani and Bani, so that maximum number of young people can benefit from these schemes.

Jarnail Singh Kartarpur, Secretary. Pratap Singh, OSD Satbir Singh Dhami, Additional Secretary. Sukhminder Singh, Mr. Balwinder Singh Kahlwan, Associate Secretary Prof. Sukhdev Singh, S. Shahbaz Singh, Assistant Director Bibi Satwant Kaur, Principal Dr. Kulwinder Singh, Superintendent Nishan Singh etc. were present.
