AMRITSAR: Mr Harjinder Singh Dhami, President, Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), has expressed sorrow over the burning of Guru Granth Sahib Ji at village Dhariwal Bhojan in Gurdaspur district due to short circuit of electricity.
Mr Dhami said that the sangat has been repeatedly appealed for proper maintenance of electrical appliances and constant monitoring inside Gurdwaras. But sadly, due to the negligence of the management, tragic incidents of fire inside the Guru's house by electrical appliances occur.
He appealed to the Gurdwara administrators and sevadars to take care of the Gurdwara Sahib in a conscious manner and to operate the electrical equipment as per the requirement.
He also appealed to the sangat and gurdwara administrators to discharge their responsibilities cordially.
