AMRITSAR: The matter of appointing Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj as the acting Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee is becoming more complicated day by day.

The sons of Sant Giani Jarnail Singh Khalsa Bhindranwale, the fourteenth head of Damdami Taksal, who was awarded the title of Great Sikh of the 20th century by Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Bhai Ishar Singh and Bhai Inderjit Singh, said that if Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj honors the families of the martyrs during the function being held at Sri Akal Takht Sahib on the occasion of the 41st anniversary of the Ghallughara on June 6, 1984, then they will not accept this honor under any circumstances.

He appealed to SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami to stop Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargajj from honoring the families of the martyrs during the martyrdom ceremony. If Gargajj honors him, he will not accept this honor under any circumstances.”

Damdami Taksal, Sikh Students Federation, Dal Khalsa and Nihang Singh organizations have announced that Jathedar Bhai Kuldeep Singh Gargaj, who has been disapproved by the Panth due to his unprincipled imposition on the occasion of the Ghallughara massacre, will be barred from reading messages .

It should be remembered that on June 6, a martyrdom ceremony is held every year at Sri Akal Takht Sahib to pay tribute to the martyrs of Ghallughara. Where, after the Bhog and Ardas of Sri Akhand Path Sahib, the Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib gives a message to the nation, after which the families of the martyrs are honored by the Jathedar.
