AMRITSAR: Residents of local Swiss colonies (Swiss Green, Switzerland) today staged a protest against the colonizers and administration over regularization of colonies and development issues.
The residents demanded the Commissioner and Administrator PUDA to intervene in the affairs of development and warned that if the demands were not met within 10 days, the Swiss Colonies Welfare Association would launch a vigorous struggle.
Locals said they were facing increasing difficulties due to lack of development in the colony. He said that in order to regularize the colonies for construction of roads etc., the officials of the government offices are not cooperating.
Residents demanded from MC to take over unsold plots in these colonies where realtors cheated people. They have build the houses here after obtaining NOC from MC and paid the development charges. But MC hs not done any development and neither the colonies are regularised.
On this occasion Dr. Kashmir Singh Khuda, Prof. Sarchand Singh, Gursahib Singh, Jatinder Singh Randhawa, S. Rachpal Singh, Dilbag Singh, Ashok Kumar Sharma, Ashwani Kumar, Narinder Kumar, Jasbir Singh, Gurwinder Singh Virdi, Gurjit Singh Aulakh, Col. Raghbir Singh, Dilbag Singh, Amolak Singh, Balraj Singh, Charanjit Singh, Karanbir Singh Mann, Prof. BS Randhawa, Dalbir Singh Khalsa, Balbir Singh and Davinderpal Singh were present.
