NAWANSHAHR:Following the schedule of Rabi season Kisan Mela series being organized by Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, Dr Dev Raj Bhumbla Regional Research Station, Ballowal Saunkhri will hold Kisan Mela on 6th September 2022 in offline mode.
Divulging the details, Dr Manmohanjit Singh, Director, Regional Research Station, Ballowal Saunkhri said that these mela series will be dedicated to the slogan “Kisani, Jawani ate Paun-Paani Bachaiyye, Aao Rangla Punjab Banaiyye”. He said that queries of the farmers related to various agricultural aspects will be resolved in this by highly qualified experts. Hybrid seeds of cereals, pulses, vegetable kits and seedlings of fruit plants will be made available to the farmers. The improved technologies in agriculture developed by the University will be demonstrated at different stalls. An animal welfare camp will also be organized by Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Science University for free of cost treatment of animals. Dr Manmohanjit Singh, Director, gave a warm invitation to all the people to embrace the mela by their presence.
