PHAGWARA: The Punjabi Hindu Group has announced statewide protest demonstrations across Punjab to condemn the brutal killing of a Hindu youth in Bangladesh, who was allegedly set on fire in an act of religious hatred. The decision was taken during an important meeting of the group’s state body held under the leadership of its chairman, Mahant Shri Ravi Kant Muni.
During the meeting, members strongly denounced the incident, describing it as horrifying, inhuman and a blot on the conscience of humanity. Speakers said the killing has triggered deep anguish and anger among Hindus worldwide and reflects a grave failure to protect religious minorities. They noted that such incidents evoke memories of historical religious persecution, drawing parallels with the martyrdom of the Sahibzadas of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, who faced tyranny centuries ago with extraordinary courage.
Addressing the gathering, state body member and Jalandhar zone in-charge Raman Nehra of Phagwara said incidents of this nature demand a united global response. He stated that the Punjabi Hindu Group unequivocally condemns the killing and believes silence in the face of such atrocities only emboldens further violence.
