CHANDIGARH: The Haryana police has reportedly fired gun shots directly on the agitating farmers trying to cross the Haryana border and one 23 year old youth was killed in an alleged firing by the police.
The deceased got a bullet injury in the head and rushed to Rajindra Hospital Patiala along with two other youth injured in firing. The deceased has been identified as Shubhkaran Singh of Ballo village in Bathinda district. He was only brother of three sisters.
Patiala Civil surgeon said that Shubhkaran Singh was brought dead and two other youth were injured and now admitted in hospital. He said that deceased youth had got bullet injury on back of his head but it was not yet clear if it was bullet injury r plastic bullet injury. The picture will be clear after the post ortem.
Meanwhile, The Haryana police is firing teargas shells since morning at Shambhu and Khanauri borders. The farmer leaders Jagjit Singh Dallewal and Swaran Singh Pandher alongwith other leaders marched peacefully towards Haryana border abt Shambhu but Haryana police fired teargas shells on them.
