Punjab Scheduled Castes and Land Development and Finance Corporation releases Rs 150 lakh subsidy during covid epidemic

KAPURTHALA:Punjab Scheduled Castes and Land Development and Finance Corporation has released a subsidy of Rs. 150 lakh during COVID -19. This was Punjab Scheduled Castes and Land Development and Finance Corporation chairman Mohan Lal Sood while addressing a review meeting held here today . He said that a subsidy of Rs.10, 000 per beneficiary has been given to 1500 beneficiaries so far. He further said that besides this a loan of Rs. 1300 lakh has been sanctioned and an amount has been released under the self employment scheme.
Sood further said that besides this a waiver has been written to the Punjab Government for the last 6 months interest amounting to Rs. He also said that the disabled persons of any caste were provided loans at an interest rate of 6 per cent so that they could earn a living and support their families. He also said that loans of Rs. 550 lakh have been sanctioned on the occasion of 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak.
Sood said that every promise made by the state government under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh to the people would be fulfilled. He asked the officials to make the schemes of Scheduled Castes and Land Development and Finance Corporation Punjab known to as many people as possible so that maximum number of people could avail the benefits of these schemes and become active partners in the economic and social development of Punjab.
