AMRITSAR: The Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs of the Punjab Government will organize a three-day ‘Rangla Punjab Utsav’ in Amritsar from February 27 to March 1 with the aim of popularizing the cultural heritage, lifestyle and food of Punjab at the global level. Giving information in this regard, Deputy Commissioner Amritsar Mr. Dalwinderjit Singh said that the Amritsar District Administration has started preparations by forming various departmental committees for the success of this Rangla Punjab Utsav. He said that this three-day Rangla Punjab Utsav will be held at the Ranjit Avenue ground in Amritsar.
Deputy Commissioner Mr. Dalwinderjit Singh said that the Rangla Punjab Utsav will start on February 27 and will continue till March 1, 2026. He said that this three-day Rangla Punjab Utsav will be dedicated to Punjab, Punjabi and Punjabiyat and a beautiful glimpse of the cultural heritage, lifestyle and food of Punjab will be seen in it. He said that a beautiful craft market will be set up during the Rangla Punjab Utsav where shopkeepers will set up stalls and sell traditional Punjabi and other goods. Apart from this, the delicious dishes of Punjab will also be tasted in the food court set up during the festival. He said that the audience will be entertained by ‘singing akharas’ by renowned singers of Punjab on all three days of the Rangla Punjab Utsav. Along with this, other forms of Punjabi culture like Giddha-Bhangra will also be performed.
Deputy Commissioner Mr. Dalwinderjit Singh said that the entry of the general public will be completely free during the Rangla Punjab Utsav. He appealed to all the residents of the district to visit the Rangla Punjab Utsav being held on 27th, 28th February and 1st March at Ranjit Avenue Maidan in Amritsar to see and enjoy the beautiful glimpse of Punjab, Punjabi and Punjabiyat.
