CHANDIGARH: PSPCL and PSTCL engineers will wear black badges and will switch off their mobiles for three hours from 11AM to 2PM on November 26 as a mark of protest.against the privatisation policies of centeral government.
PSEB Engineers Association has written today a letter to the management of PSPCL and PSTCL appreciating that Punjab Government has taken a stand against the unilateral lopsided amendments to upsurp the powers of state by the union government even though elecricity is a concurrent subject.
Ajaypal Singh Atwal general secretary of the Association said that the demands of powr engineers acrosss the country are to scrap Electricity (Amendment) Bill, 2020 and Standard Bidding Document for privatisation of electricity.
Further process of privatisation of electricity in States and union territories should be withdrawn. and cancel all existing privatisation and franchises in the power sector.
All the state generation, transmission, and distribution companies should be integrated.
