SRI ANANDPUR SAHIB: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Tuesday launched a statewide blood donation and plantation camps at Virasat-e-Khalsa organized by the state government to mark the 350th martyrdom day of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur ji.
The Chief Minister said that this plantation drive is the best way to give tribute to the great Guru Sahibans who had given the eternal message, 'Pawan Guru Pani Pita Mata Dharat Mahat', to secure the environment besides ensuring ecological balance by planting trees. He said that this drive is being initiated in consonance with the commitment of the state government to encourage people to plant more trees for making Punjab clean, green and pollution free by enhancing green cover in the district.
