PHAGWARA: In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Punjab Government has transferred one IAS and two PCS officers with immediate effect. As per the orders issued by Chief Secretary K.A.P. Sinha, Phagwara Municipal Corporation Commissioner Dr. Akshita Gupta, IAS, has been appointed as the new Director of the Public Relations Department, Punjab, replacing Bimal Kumar Setia.
To ensure administrative continuity, Smt. Navneet Kaur Bal, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kapurthala, has been entrusted with the additional charge of Commissioner, Phagwara Municipal Corporation. Additionally, PCS officer Deepankar Garg has been assigned the dual responsibility of Managing Director, Punjab Agro Industries Corporation, along with the role of Deputy Secretary in the Public Relations Department, Punjab. The government stated that these appointments have been made to strengthen administrative functioning and enhance departmental efficiency across key sectors.
