PATIALA: PSEB Engineers Association sitting dharna in the office of Director Finance forced the PSPCL management to withdraw the show cause notice issued to Chief Engineer ARR yesterday.
Show cause to CE/ARR has been taken back. Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) management has decided to immediately withdraw the show-cause notice issued on November 17, to Chief Engineer, ARR & TR, PSPCL Harmohan Kaur after engineers continued their sit-in dharna .
On Wednesday morning, members and staff of the PSPCL Engineers Association reached the office of Director Finance, S. K. Beri, and pointed out that the show-cause notice issued to the chief engineer was not in accordance with the rules. The management initially showed reluctance to withdraw the order, prompting the engineers to stage a ‘dharna’ inside his office until the “flawed” order was revoked.
On November 17, PSPCL authorities issued a show cause notice to Harmohan Kaur , chief engineer ARR and TR for not meeting Sr Advocate and attending court proceedings in a case despite the fact that her medical leave was not approved by higher authorities.
The PSPCL management has been taking decisions without following the proper procedure , whether it was suspension of chief engineer Ropar thermal or dismissal of Director Generation . PSEBEA has been protesting throughout the state by way of holding regional meetings. Today PSEBEA members sat on the floor inside the office of Director Finance. 30 engineers sat inside the office while 150 engineers sat outside his office.
