People of border district still feel panicked

AMRITSAR: The ongoing current situation between the two neighboring nations kept the border inhabitants on tenterhooks as they felt panicked.

Pirthipal Singh, resident of Ram Tirath Road Amritsar says, “Nevertheless to say that after the announcement of the American President about war seizure between the nations, people in the border areas still panicked as Pakistan constantly violated the ceasefire norms time and again moving on back foot”.

Sukhchian Singh says, “Inhabitants of border villages are under severe panic since after midnight firing in the sky begins without any warning forcing them to stay indoors. Even can’t dare to send their children out to play even in the day time”.

Another resident of Ranjit Avenue Ravinder Singh builder by profession says, “Investors have stopped to invest in the real estate business in Amritsar even ongoing project were stopped for indefinite period. Things doesn’t stopped here even the pending payments of ongoing projects were also withheld due to the prevailing condition of uncertainly”.

Chanchal Singh resident of plush locality of Green Avenue Amritsar who is Gold smith by profession says, “He has planned to move to Bombay due to repeated announcements of Blackout by Administration. People have stopped to buy gold especially ornaments. Inspite of heavy investment we don’t feel safe in the border district even our children are sitting at home for the last one week as never attended schools.

Charanjit Singh cable operator says, “I am also not satisfied to live here now planning to move Canada where my three daughters and son are living and also started to wind up my business”.

Amandeep Singh who is a Government officer says, “ I was born and brought up in the holy city of Amritsar and also prefer to die here since my forefathers belonged to this place. Moreover, being a Sikh we were born to help others and never bothered for such kind of wars since my family have seen partition bloodshed of 1947 even war of 1971 so we will never leave Amritsar”.

Deepak Sehgal, a Karyana merchant says, “ I am well settled here and the present situation is just temporary face. I would never prefer to leave the city of Golden Temple. Moreover, death is predestined so I and my family are not worried about the current tension between the two neighboring nations as this situation will be over very soon”.
