Number of Aam Aadmi Clinics to be dedicated to public on Independence Day expanded to 100: Chetan Singh Jouramajra

CHANDIGARH:In furtherance of the dynamic initiative of the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann led Punjab Government to dedicate Aam Aadmi Clinics to the people of PUnjab on this Independence Day, the number has been now been increased to 100 for the first phase.

This is the first step towards fulfilment of the State Government's commitment to provide top notch healthcare facilities to the common man, said the Health Minister Chetan Singh. He said that the health department is fully geared to launch of this flagship scheme and is working hard to ensure availability of requisite staff, equipment and infrastructure for the smooth running of these clinics.

The Minister disclosed that under the "Amrit Mahautsav" of the Independence Day, Aam Aadmi Clinics will cover all 117 Assembly Constituencies of the state of Punjab.

The Minister further said that with the establishment of these Clinics, lower and middle classes will not only get all health benefits at their doorsteps but it will also help to reduce unnecessary crowding in hospitals. "The State Government stands fully committed to improving the state's healthcare infrastructure and providing quality healthcare services to its citizens in line with its ideology of ensuring a robust and healthy Punjab", said Mr. Jouramajra.

These clinics have been established keeping in mind that health care is the right of every person in the state. With this facility, every gender and age group in the state would get health services without having to worry about their income. Now, there would be no need to go to big hospitals for the treatment of minor diseases, added the Minister.
