PHAGWARA: MLA from Phagwara Balwinder Singh Dhaliwal said that the Punjab Government would dedicate the next financial year as the year of development under which several more schemes for the development of villages would be launched in the budget to be presented next March.
Addressing the villagers on the occasion of commencement of development works at villages Brahmapur, Miranpur, Madhopur and Ranipur Kambo today under 'Smart Village' scheme, he said that overall development of the constituency was his duty and he was fully committed to fulfill it.
He said that the construction of parks, construction of sports stadiums, sewerage system and concrete streets in the villages of Phagwara constituency was in full swing while the project of 'Har Ghar Pani, Har Ghar Safai' project was launched for the supply of drinking water to every household was also launched.
Dhaliwal called upon the village panchayats to play the role of supervisor in maintaining the quality of development works and completing the works within the stipulated time.
