Navjot Sidhu's advisor Mali resigns after ultimatum by Harish Rawat

CHANDIGARH: Malwinder Singh Mali, the controversial advisor of PPCC president Navjot Singh Sidhu today resigned from his post following an ultimatum issued by AICC General Secretary and incharge of Punjab Harish Rawat.

Rawat had told Navjot Sidhu to remove his two advisors Mali and Pyare Lal Garg who were issuing controversial statements against the policies of Congress party. Rawat had said if Sidhu will not remoe them he will do. Though Mali has submitted resignation, Garg is yet to resign. Sidhu has maintained silence on the statements of his advisors and seemed protecting them.

Mali in a letter posted on social media has said that if any physical harm was done to him then Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh, SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal and some BJP and AAP leaders including Raghav Chadha and Jarnail Singh will be responsible for it.

Mali had posted many controversial posts on his facebook page against Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh for his alleged failure in running the government and he also attacked CM for his personal relations with his Pakistani friend Aroosa Alam.

Capt Amarinder Singh had snubbed the Sidhu's advisors and told them to limit their role upto advising Sidhu. The controversy had snowballed when senior Congress leaders like MP Manish Tiwari, Raj Kumar Verka and MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla also demanded removal of Sidhu's advisors.
