NAKODAR:The Nakodar sadar police have arrested a local resident for dowry harassment
The investigating officer (IO) Harjindar Singh said that the accused have been identified as Gaurav Sharma a resident of house no.734 Mohalla Krishana Nagar Nakodar.
Priya Shura a resident of Fajal Pur village had complained to the police that her marriage was solemnized with Gaurav Sharma but after marriage she was being harassed for dowry and threatened by in-laws.
IO said that a case under section 498-A (husband or relative of husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty) of the Indian Penal Code was registered against the accused and his mother .
