RUPNAGAR: Two miscreants who followed Ajayvir Singh son of BJP leader and Minority Commission Chairman in a car last night reportedly pointed revolver at him and tried to harm him. They however escaped from scene after seeing a PCR vehicle of Police approaching them
According to police Ajayvir Singh along with a friend Surinerpal Singh was returning from Chandigarh to his farm house near Nurpurpur Bedi in this district. The miscreants followed them in a car and tried to hit the vehicle to stop them. They argued with Ajayvir Singh and one of them took out his revolver. He pointed the gun on Ajayvir but soon a PCR vehicle reached the spot. The two miscreants escaped in their car.
Surinderpal Singh told police that the gun-wielding youth tried to kill them after they stopped the vehicle. He said that the two youths blocked their way near village Bains. It was good luck that the PCR vehicle approached them in time.
Police said that both the miscreants who tried to harm Ajayvir have been identified and would be arrested soon.
They are Jaspreet Singh and Jaskaran Singh.
Local BJP leaders have demanded that the culprits bearrested immediately.
