GURDASPUR: Mrs. Manisha Gulati, Chairperson Punjab State Women's Commission Punjab today became a road model for women in Gurdaspur with her hard work and determination.
She met Rajni and saluted her spirit and courage. Mrs. Amritveer Kaur, Vice Chairperson Punjab State Women's Commission, Navjot Singh SP (Headquarters), Arvind Salwan Tehsildar, Tarsem Lal Naib Tehsildar, Parminder Singh DSP etc. were present on the occasion.
Speaking to reporters on the occasion, Chairperson Ms. Gulati said that Rajni, who is pregnant, has come forward and worked hard to support her mother-in-law and child after the death of her husband and set a role model for women.
They salute his courage and determination. He said that Punjab State Women's Commission bows down to such women who walk in the society with their courage and set an example for others.
Ms. Gulati further said that Punjab State Women's Commission stood by Rajni and she would be given maximum help. He said that Rajni's pension would start from next week and he would appeal to the government to provide a permanent stall to Rajni for running his business.
She also said that all the education of Rajni's child would be provided free of cost and medical facility would be provided to him.
She also said that she would appeal to Mrs. Aruna Chaudhary Cabinet Minister Punjab to provide maximum financial assistance to Rajni.
On the occasion, Chairperson Mrs. Gulati presented a letter of appreciation and financial assistance to Rajni.
Chairperson Ms. Gulati further said that while the Commission was making efforts for the empowerment of women, she also appealed to the NGOs to come forward to extend maximum support to Rajni so that the dignity of women in the society could be enhanced.
