PHAGWARA: India’s innovation story hit a new high as Lovely Professional University (LPU) students dominated the World Robotics Championship 2025- TechnoXian World Cup 9.0, held in Delhi-NCR (Noida). The world’s largest robotics championship organised by the All India Council for Robotics and Automation (AICRA), brought together over 22, 000+ participants and 500+ elite teams from 60+ countries including Canada, Germany, Ghana, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Brazil, Iran, Kenya, Malaysia, Mexico, Morocco, Nigeria, Norway, and many more. From RoboSoccer to drone battles and high-tech challenges, the arena became a proving ground for the brightest minds in robotics and AI, and LPU students rose to the very top.
LPU’s Team Karmayodha Bots claimed the gold medal in RC Electric Car and secured a silver medal in Robo Hockey, while Team Aivora captured a bronze in the same fierce Robo Hockey competition. Team Falcon soared to a bronze medal in Drone Soccer, a sport that demands perfect synergy of aerial agility, strategic teamwork, and precision engineering, mesmerizing spectators and judges alike. This collective success was forged under the expert mentorship of Mandeep Singh and Ruhul Amin Choudhury, whose guidance was pivotal in preparing the students for this ultimate challenge.
