Kartarpur Corridor Sangharsh Committee thanked Prime Minister Modi for reopening the Kartarpur Corridor

AMRITSAR: Kartarpur Corridor Sangharsh Committee, Amritsar thanks Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah for the big decision to reopen the Kartarpur Corridor on behalf of all Sikh Sangats and all Punjabis.

He hoped that the corridors would continue uninterrupted and uninterrupted and that appropriate arrangements would be made by the government for the maximum number of pilgrims visiting Sri Kartarpur Sahib.

The Chairman of the Minorities Commission Mr. Iqbal Singh Lalpura called on the leaders of the Langha Sangharsh Committee Prof. Sarchand Singh Khiala, Mr. Iqbal Singh Tung, Mr. Surinderpal Singh Talabpura, Mr. Gurpreet Singh Calcutta Advocate Bhanu Partap Singh and Balbir Singh told Kathali that the Modi government was taking all possible care of the religious sentiments of the Sikhs.

On the occasion, the leaders of the Langha Sangharsh Committee said that the decision of the Modi government to reopen the Kartarpur corridor on the occasion of Guru Nanak's birth anniversary was a source of great joy to the Sikh community. With the reopening of this corridor, the great demand of Guru Nanak Naam Leva Beant Sangat has been met and the Sangat will be able to visit Gurdwara Sri Darbar Sahib, Kartarpur again.

This decision of the Central Government will also add a lot of excitement and joy to the sangat on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji on 19th November.

He said that Gurdwara Sri Darbar Sahib Kartarpur (Pakistan) was of great importance in the Sikh faith. Guru Nanak spent the last 18 years of his life here preaching Sikhism. After the partition of the country, the Sikh Panth and Nanak Naam Leva sangats longed to see Sri Kartarpur Sahib.

The Kartarpur corridor came into being two years ago keeping in view the prayers being offered by the Sangat for 70 years and their religious sentiments. It was inaugurated on November 9, 2019 by the Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi on behalf of India. Unfortunately, due to Corona, it was closed on March 16, 2020. Sikh sangats have been urging for the reopening of this Kartarpur corridor. In view of their religious sentiments, the Kartarpur Langha Sangharsh Committee has been mobilizing the Sangat and appealing to the Central Government to reopen the Langha.
