JALANDHAR:Sandeep Kumar Garg, Senior Superintendent of Police, Jalandhar (Rural) said that Manpreet Singh Dhillon, PPS, SP/Investigation and Varinder Pal Singh, PPS, DSP/Sub-Division Shahkot, a special drive has been launched against narcotic smugglers and anti-social elements. He said SI Surinder Kumar, SHO PS Shahkot along with police party arrested 04 narcotic smugglers and recovered 11 KG of heroin, 11.25 Lac Rupees (Drug Money) and 01 I-20 Car bearing registration No. HR-26-BQ-4401.
Interacting with the Newspersons here today Sandeep Kumar Garg SSP/Jalandhar (Rural)said that SI Surinder Kumar along with police party conducted nakabandi at Bridge Malsian and intercepted one white colour I-20 Car bearing registration No. HR-26-BQ-4401. There were 04 occupants in the car and the driver of the car revealed his identity as Harjinderpal @ Kala s/o Prem Singh r/o Kilcha, PS Sadar Ferozepur, district Ferozepur whereas the person sitting on the adjoining seat of the driver was identified as Ranjit Singh s/o Sukhdev Singh r/o Kilcha, PS Sadar Ferozepur, district Ferozepur. The persons sitting on the rear seat were identified as Sanjit @ Shintu s/o Anait Ram r/o House No. 92, Street No. 5, Near Balmiki Mandir, Mohalla Bharat Nagar Ferozepur, PS City Ferozepur and Kishan Singh @ Daulat s/o Gurdev Singh r/o 14-S Majhiwal, PS Karanpur, district Ganganagar, Rajasthan. However, the search of the intercepted car was conducted upon which 11 packets of Heroin (each weighing 1/1 Kg each = Total 11 Kg) were recovered whereas upon the personal search of the apprehended persons, drug money Rs. 2.25 Lac was recovered from Harjinderpal @ Kala, Rupees 3.10 Lac from Sanjit @ Shintu, Rupees 2.50 Lac from Kishan Singh @ Daulat and Rupees 2.40 Lac from the dashboard of the car. Thus a total of Rupees 11.25 Lac (Drug Money) was recovered from the apprehended persons. In this regard case FIR No. 313 dated 17-11-2020 u/s 21-C-61-85 NDPS Act was registered in PS Shahkot and the accused were arrested in the case.
Accused Harjinderpal @ Kala (Aged 27 Years) s/o Prem Singh r/o Kilcha, PS Sadar Ferozepur, district Ferozepur, Ranjit Singh (Aged 20 years) s/o Sukhdev Singh r/o Kilcha, PS Sadar Ferozepur, district Ferozepur, Sanjit @ Shintu (Aged 34 Years) s/o Anait Ram r/o House No. 92, Street No. 5, Near Balmiki Mandir, Mohalla Bharat Nagar Ferozepur, PS City Ferozepur and Kishan Singh @ Daulat (Aged 32 Years) s/o Gurdev Singh r/o 14-S Majhiwal, PS Karanpur, district Ganganagar, Rajasthan are being produced in the court and their police remand will be sought. However, a deep probe is being conducted and more revelations are yet to be expected.
