Independence Day Celebrated at Khalsa University, KCET and KCPS
AMRITSAR: School of Law, Khalsa University, Amritsar celebrated Independence Day with patriotic fervor in the esteemed presence of Prof.(Dr.) Jaspal Singh, Dean, School of Law and Dr. Gunisha Saluja, Head and Associate Professor, School of law.The event commenced with the unfurling of the national flag followed by the national Anthem. NSS Volunteers and NCC Cadets 11 PBBN NCC of the institute enthusiastically participated through their patriotic speeches and poster making competitions, showcasing their discipline and national spirit.
This programme was coordinated by Lt (Dr.) Gurjinder Kaur, ANO, NCC and Dr. Preet Inder Kaur, Programme Officer, NSS. It was concluded with a vote of thanks by reiterating the University’s commitment to instill Patriotism and civic responsibility among its students. Similarly Khalsa College of Engineering and Technology (KCET), Ranjit Avenue, Sri Guru Teg Bahadur College for Women (SGTBCW), Khalsa College Public School (KCPS), Khalsa College International Public School (KCIPS), celebrated Independence Day with patriotic enthusiasm organised in collaboration with the 82 Armoured Regiment under special youth outreach programme.

At KCET the programme aimed to inspire young students to contribute towards nation-building and explore opportunities to serve the country through the armed forces. Aspecial lecture titled Serve Your Nation: Career Opportunities in the Indian Army was delivered by Captain Dhruv Dahiya, who provided valuable insights into various career opportunities available to engineering graduates in the Indian Army. He explained the different entry levels, eligibility pathways and benefits associated with a career in the armed forces. He encouraged students to consider the Army as a rewarding career option that offers opportunities for professional growth, leadership, discipline and service to the nation. He said the engineering students possess technical skills and problem-solving abilities that can be effectively utilised in the armed forces. He motivated the students to explore the various entry schemes and make informed decisions about pursuing a career dedicated to national service.
KCET Director Dr. Manju Bala appreciated the initiative of the 82 Armoured Regiment and said that such youth outreach programmes provide students with meaningful exposure to career opportunities beyond conventional professional pathways. She emphasised that serving the nation is a matter of pride and encouraged students to develop discipline, leadership and a strong sense of responsibility.A beautiful and impressive parade was organized at KCPS and KCIPS, where the students of the school displayed competitive spirit through patriotic singing and dancing to the tune of music.
