FEROZEPUR: Firozpur Urban Constituency MLA Parminder Singh Pinki demanding that the historic land of martyrs Ferozepur taken into the Smart City and on 15th August declare this city a smart city, tributes should be paid to martyrs Sardar Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, Sukhdev Singh, BK Dutt and Punjab Mata.
He demanded to declare the monument and said that Hussainiwala Indo-Pak border should also be opened for trade.
In a communication to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Mr Pinky said that if the Prime Minister gives the status of Smart City to Ferozepur City on August 15, it will be a true tribute to the martyrs.
MLA Pinki demanded that Firozpur is an Army Cantonment area and there is a great need for a military school for the children living here, where children will be educated to become soldiers and defend the country as well as instill a sense of patriotism in them.
While setting up Sainik School, special reservation of 5 percent should be given to the children of Ferozepur in it.
