Head of Damdami Taksal, stressed on the need to unite and work for the solution of the issues facing the Sikh community

AMRITSAR:Bhai Jasveer Singh Khalsa, former Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht, said that the great status of the Sikh community is honorable to us but the indifference of some of the incumbents to national duties is hampering the progress of the community.
Bhai Jasveer Singh was addressing a religious diwan (congregation) was held on the occasion of death anniversary of Giani Baba Gurbachan Singh Bhindranwale at Gurdwara Gurdarshan Parkash in Mehta 45 kilometres from here on Tuesday.

He stressed on the need for the responsible persons to pay close attention to the happenings especially the indecencies. He said that the entire nation respects these special people because they are the ones who have to protect and uphold the principle of Miri Peeri.

Sant Giani Harnam Singh Khalsa Bhindranwale, Head of Damdami Taksal, while addressing the sangat , stressed on the need to unite and work for the solution of the issues facing the Sikh community

Baba Harnam Singh said that Damdami Taksal is the soul of the Panth which has served the nation since the time of Baba Deep Singh Ji Shaheed by dedicating itself to the Panth and remaining selfless.

During the British rule, the organization also made significant contributions to the Gurdwara reform movement and organized Gurmat Diwans to mobilize the sangat against the tyrannical government.
