AMRITSAR: In view of the punishment heard by the five Singh Sahibs from Sri Akal Takht Sahib today for the violation of etiquette in the program organized by the Punjab Government and the Language Department Punjab in Srinagar on the occasion of the 350th martyrdom anniversary of the ninth Guru Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji, Bhai Dayala Ji, Bhai Mati Das Ji and Bhai Sati Das Ji in Srinagar, Education, Information and Public Relations Minister Harjot Singh Bains bowed down barefoot at Gurdwara Guru Ka Mahal Amritsar, Gurdwara Kotha Sahib Vallaha and Gurdwara Baba Bakala Sahib and prayed to the Guru Sahib for forgiveness.
He also cleaned the path from Sri Darbar Sahib to Guru Ke Mahal.
Talking to media. on this occasion, he said that for me there is no other entity above Sri Akal Takht Sahib. The order that came from here is the order of Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji and I will bow my head before this decision and obey every command.
He said that today he is bowing down in the Gurdwara Sahib of Sri Amritsar Sahib district and begging for forgiveness and soon, as per the decision of the Singh Sahibs, he will go to Gurdwara Sis Ganj Sahib in Delhi and forgive his mistake. He said that whatever orders the Singh Sahibs have given, he will follow them.
It is worth mentioning that this morning, Cabinet Minister Harjot Singh Bains got down from his vehicle in Saragarhi parking lot and first went on foot to visit Gurdwara Guru Ka Mahal, after which he bowed down at Sri Darbar Sahib. Where he first appeared before the Singh Sahibs in the Sri Akal Takht Sahib Secretariat.
After that, the Singh Sahibs read out all the charges to him from the wall of Shri Akal Takht Sahib and then gave the decision, which he accepted and started serving according to this decision from today itself. Bowing his head before the decision, he first walked barefoot to Gurdwara Guru Ka Mahal. Then he paid obeisance at Gurdwara Kotha Sahib Walla and then walked barefoot to Baba Bakala Sahib and paid obeisance.
