Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib gave impetus to the Sikh Gurus' doctrines of Shakti-Bhakti, Shakti Shastra, and Miri-Piri

PATIALA: On the third day of National webinar dedicated to 400th birth anniversary of Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji, Dr. Jaspal Kaur Kang, Head, Department of Guru Nanak Sikh Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh, shared her views as the keynote speaker. She said that Guru Sahib gave impetus to the Sikh Gurus' doctrines of Shakti-Bhakti, Shakti Shastra, and Miri-Piri.
The webinar which is being organised as the part of series of online seminars dedicated to the 400th birth anniversary of Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib with the initiative of Vice Chancellor Mrs. Ravneet Kaur IAS, was focused on the theme of "Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur: Life and Legacy".
Dr Daljit Singh, Head, Department of Punjab Historical Studies, Punjabi University, Patiala welcomed the keynote speaker and the audience and said that Guru Sahib gave a unique example of independence, equality, and brotherhood by giving his martyrdom and saved Indian culture, national unity, and diversity.
There is meaningful recluse in the Bani of Guru Sahib which leads man towards industriousness, added Dr Jaspal Kaut. She said by following the path of detachment from worldly affairs and with the renunciation of materialistic approach (Moh-Maya), recluse is a symbol of bringing social consciousness and revolution. Guru Sahib's Bani places the greatest emphasis on the attainment of spiritual strength.
At the end, Dr. Balwinderjit Kaur Bhatti, Department of Punjab Historical Studies presented the vote of thanks to all the dignitaries and participants of the webinar.
