GNDU Fitness Club organized an interactive talk on “Importance of Mental Health among Students”

AMRITSAR: Fitness Club of Guru Nanak Dev University in association with office of Dean Student’s Welfare organized an interactive talk on “Importance of Mental Health among Students” by Dr. J.P.S. Bhatia from Bhatia Neuropsychiatric Hospital and Dr. Rupan Dhillon, Head, Department of Psychology to celebrate the World Mental Health Day. The speakers interacted with the students of the University focusing on how mental wellbeing is important for a healthy living. They also emphasized on the importance of self questioning, positive thinking, thought control in the process of addressing the several questions raised by the students.


Dr. Amrinder Singh, Head, MYAS-GNDU Department of Sports Sciences and Medicine welcomed the speakers and expressed his gratitude to Vice Chancellor, Dr. Karamjeet Singh for giving the opportunity to organize such a lecture. The session concluded with the valedictory address by Dr. H.S Saini, Dean Students’ Welfare in which he addressed the students to utilize the facilities provided in the university whenever they need.
