PHAGWARA: Two Scootorist Youths were killed on the spot, when the Activa Scootor they were riding was hit by a speeding truck on Phagwara---Hoshiarpur Road late last night.The deceased were identified as Abhishek and his friend Sajan both residents of Dharamkot Mohalla Phagwara.DSP Babandeep Singh said the truck driver managed to flee after hitying the Scootor.
Both Youths were immediately taken to Civil Hospital where the doctors declared them brought dead. The dead bodies of both Youths have been handed over to their families after autopsy conducted in civil hospital on Saturday Afternoon.The Police have registered a case against the truck driver.
In another tragedy two youths were drowned when their Swift Car in which they were travelling suddenly went out of control and fell down in a Canal near Village Kot-Fatuhi on Behram-Mahilpur road late last night. Both deceased were identified as Anmoldeep and Jasdip Singh both residents of Village Kot-Fatuhi. It could not be ascertained yet whether it was an accident or a case of suicide, the police said. The Police have handed over the bodies to their families after post-mortem examination this afternoon.
