Fifteen arrested for apprehension of breach of peace

SHAHKOT: The Shahkot police have arrested fifteen persons on the charges of apprehension of breach of peace and tranquillity of an area.

The Station House Officer (SHO) S.K.Kamboj said that the accused have been identified as Vijay , Gurprit Singh and Diamand residents of Malsian village , Amrit Pal Singhof Punian village , Avtar Singh and Surga residents of Kotli Gajran village Dipak of Thamuwal village, Gurmit Singh of Shahkot , Tarsem Pal of Kakkarr Kalan village Rakesh Kumar of Shahkot , Amandip Singh of Bhadma village Munish of Raunta village Amanprit of Dharmiwal village Pardip of Akbar Pur Kalan village and Joni a resident of Kanganna village .

SHO said that the accused are habitual criminals and can create problems during forth coming assembly elections.

Cases under sections, 107, 150and 151 (apprehension in peace and tranquillity in an area) of the Cr.P.C have been registered against the accused and reports submitted in the court of sub divisional magistrate.
