AMRITSAR: Regarding the unfortunate incident that took place at Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib yesterday, the SGPC today held a meeting with the representatives of Sikh organizations, during which various Sikh leaders expressed their views and strongly condemned the incident. He expressed his commitment to defeat the anti-panth.
The meeting which was held under the presidentship of Shiromani Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, the leaders of the organizations unanimously declared that the anti-Panth forces would be fought unitedly.
The Panthic gathering felt that the Sikh Panth was running out of patience, so the governments should be careful in time.
The spokespersons said that the incident at Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib has caused deep mental anguish to the Sikh community and the Panth would never tolerate the perpetrators of such incidents being spared.
During the gathering, it was felt that the failure of the governments was raising the spirits of the disrespectful people, but the Sikh Panth could never tolerate this.
The sangat has lost faith in the law and government machinery as the government has not taken any culprit to severe punishment, forcing the Sikh Panth to take a decision on its own.
Apart from Shiromani Committee President Advocate Dhami, Shiromani Panth Akali Budha Dal chief Baba Balbir Singh, Dal Panth Baba Bidhi Chand chief Baba Avtar Singh Sursingh, Baba Sukhdev Singh from Damdami Taksal, Baba Seva Singh Khadur Sahib, Bhai Jatinder Singh from California, Baba Gurdial Singh Tanda, Baba Hardev Singh Talwandi Rai, Baba Amir Singh Nanaksar Samprada, Baba Jagjit Singh Lopo Wale, Bibi Kiranjot Kaur, Mahant Ravinder Das addressed the gathering.
The speakers pledged that the Shiromani Committee is the highest body of the Sikh Panth, with the cooperation of organizations at all levels.
On this occasion some resolutions were also passed regarding the practice of desecration.
The resolution was passed by Shiromani Committee members Bhai Rajinder Singh Mehta, Bhai Ram Singh, Bhai Manjit Singh and Bhagwant Singh Sialka read it and the assembly present approved it with a resounding applause.

Sadly, the masterminds behind the arrests have not yet been identified and no one has been given exemplary punishment.
Due to this behavior of the governments, the morale of the people who are committing atrocities is increasing day by day. It was said that the ground was being prepared for conspiracies to destabilize the environment of Punjab but the governments were taking it lightly.
The gathering, through resolutions, appealed to every Sikh to recognize his duty to expose the plots of the rogue powers.
While it is important to punish the perpetrators of indecency, it is even more important to reach out to the perpetrators of indecency. The resolutions passed by the Panthic Assembly also called for strengthening Panthic unity and harmony.
