KAPURTHALA:District electoral officer kapurthala Mrs Deepti Uppal today asked the all 4 returning officers to immediately complete the installation of GPS on vehicles related to the poll duties.
She made it clear that the EVMs could be transport only in the GPS enabled vehicles as per the instructions of ECI.
While in a review meeting with the ADCs , Returning officers and Nodal officers, she said that no employees on poll duty to be left out to cast their vote and the postal ballot must be provided to all the police personnel also.
She also said that the Asha workers must be deployed at their native village in duty to collect the bio medical waste so that they can also be able to cast their vote.
She also reviews the voting preparedness at booth level with the Returning officers and ordered them to ensure all the facilities for voters especially at model polling booths etc.
Prominent amongst present on the occasion included ADC urban development Anupam kaler , ADC G Aditya Uppal and nodal officers of various election cells.
